Arnside to Flint (134 miles)
Visited 7 RNLI Stations
Today we were looking forward to having a shorter days riding after
the marathon we had put in yesterday. The plan was to get down to
stay with Bustupbiker at Flint in North Wales. As we wheeled the
bikes out of the Arnside YHA carpark, we realised that Carcher had
a screw embedded in the central tread of his rear tyre. Luckily
he had sealant in his tyres, and it did an excellent job, as we
only had to pump up his tyre once during the 7 hours of riding.
On the way down, we got to see
We met up with Fons on the way down to Lytham St Annesand he rode
with down through to Manchester. When we reached Lytham St Annes
RNLI station, they were taking their boat out on an exercise which
gave us some great photos.
The coastline all the way from Cumbria down to North Wales seem
very flat, with wide beaches and huge estuaries.
